Core Forms vs SureForms: Site Count Versus a Gutenberg Form
SureForms puts every paid feature on every plan and bills by site count. Core Forms is one price for unlimited sites, stored as HTML, with licensing included.
SureForms is a Gutenberg form plugin from Brainstorm Force, the company behind Astra. Core Forms vs SureForms is a choice between a block form whose paid plans differ by site count, and a paid plugin whose one license is unlimited sites and whose form is HTML.
I build Core Forms. SureForms’ prices below are the cards on sureforms.com/plans on 23 September 2026. Where SureForms is the better buy, it is named.
There are generally three ways people buy SureForms.
You can stay on the free plugin and never pay.
Or you can buy Team, 5 sites, because the paid plan is where signature, PDF, quizzes and the AI builder sit.
Or you can buy Agency when 5 sites is the thing that ran out, not a missing feature.
But being extreme isn’t a good idea at all. SureForms free is a real form inside the block editor. It is wise to stay there until a paid feature is the reason to move, and to compare the renewal, not the introductory price, with $59 a year.
Quick verdict
SureForms is the better buy when the form has to be built in Gutenberg, when you want a signature, a repeater, a generated PDF or a quiz with scoring, or when the free plugin already does the job.
Core Forms is the better buy when you need more than 5 sites without jumping to the Agency plan, when the form should stay HTML, or when the same license has to take payments and issue software licenses. It is $59 a year or $249 once, unlimited sites.
SureForms does not split features across paid tiers. Core Forms does not either. The fight is site count, the editor, and a few fields one of them does not have.
Price
SureForms’ pricing page says introductory prices renew at the full price, and that a plan can be cancelled. 14-day refund. The page title says plans from $59 a year. The cards on the page that day were these:
| Plan | Sites | List price | Shown intro price |
|---|---|---|---|
| SureForms Team, yearly | 5 | $149/year | $99/year |
| SureForms Agency, yearly | 100 | $229/year | $179/year |
| SureForms Team, lifetime | 5 | $449 once | $349 once |
| SureForms Agency, lifetime | 100 | $749 once | $549 once |
| Core Forms Yearly | Unlimited | $59/year | |
| Core Forms Lifetime | Unlimited | $249 once |
Every SureForms paid plan is advertised with the same feature list. You are paying for seats. A sixth site moves you from Team to Agency. Core Forms does not have that step.
There is a free SureForms plugin. Core Forms has no free plan. If the form is a contact form and Gutenberg is the editor you want, the free plugin is the honest starting point.
The editor
SureForms is built as blocks. You stay in the WordPress editor. That is the product’s best argument, and it is a real one for anyone who already builds pages there and does not want a second interface.
Core Forms is a form post. The visual builder and the code tab edit the same HTML. The Gutenberg block only places the form on a page. If “it should feel like the block editor” is the brief, SureForms wins. If “I already have the markup” is the brief, Core Forms wins.
SureForms also advertises an AI form builder on paid plans. Describe the form, get the fields. Core Forms does not generate the form from a prompt. Its Intelligent Inserter searches for a field by what you are trying to collect and inserts that field. That is a lookup, not a generated form.
Fields SureForms has
On the paid feature list, SureForms includes:
- Signature
- Repeater
- PDF generation
- Quizzes with scoring, plus surveys and polls
- Conversational forms
- Calculations
- User registration and front-end post creation
- Save and resume
- Stripe, including recurring payments, with no SureForms transaction fee on paid plans
Core Forms includes surveys, polls, full-screen forms, save and resume, calculations with a server-side check, user registration, post creation, Stripe and PayPal. It does not include a signature field, a repeater field, or a PDF of the submission. Recurring Stripe charges on a Core Forms form go through FluentCart today. Stripe subscriptions inside the form itself are not the current product.
If the brief is “sign this and download a PDF,” SureForms is the one that claims to do it. I would not buy Core Forms for that job.
Payments, licensing, headless
Both can take a one-time Stripe payment. SureForms also sells recurring Stripe billing as a paid feature. Core Forms adds Razorpay and Polar as native gateways, and it can issue a license key, a download and a customer account after payment. That is a small software store, not a form that happens to charge a card. The licensing feature is that half.
SureForms connects to a list of CRMs and to OttoKit. Core Forms ships the native actions on the integrations page, including webhooks with a signature and retries. Neither list is “every tool.” Check the one you need before you treat a logo grid as a promise.
Core Forms can render and accept a form on a site that is not WordPress, through the REST API. That is the headless case. SureForms is a WordPress block. If the form never leaves WordPress, that difference does not matter.
Migration
There is no SureForms importer. Rebuild the form. Entries do not move themselves. Export them from SureForms if you need the history.
Core Forms imports Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Fluent Forms, Ninja Forms and Formidable Forms. SureForms is not in that list.
When to pick SureForms
- You build in Gutenberg and want the form to be blocks.
- You want a signature, a repeater, a quiz score or a PDF of the entry.
- The free plugin is enough and you may never pay.
- Five sites is the whole agency, and the Team renewal is a number you like.
When to pick Core Forms
- You have more than 5 sites and do not want the Agency tier.
- The form is HTML, or you want a code tab next to the builder.
- You sell a plugin, a theme or a digital file and the license key is part of the form.
- You want Razorpay, Polar or a headless submit in the same license.
The best WordPress form plugins page is the wider shortlist if SureForms was only one of the names.
FAQ
Is SureForms free?
There is a free plugin. The pricing page sells Team and Agency, and it says the paid plans include the full feature list. I am not going to guess which of those paid fields the free plugin locks. Install the free one if Gutenberg and a contact form are the whole need.
How many sites does SureForms cover?
On 23 September 2026 the yearly cards were Team for 5 sites at $149 a year, and Agency for 100 sites at $229 a year, before the introductory prices. Core Forms is unlimited sites at $59 a year or $249 once.
Can I import SureForms into Core Forms?
No. Rebuild the fields. Export existing entries as CSV if you need them.
