Enable the License Issuing Server in settings, define products and plans, attach the Fulfill License Purchase action to any payment-enabled form, and every verified paid webhook atomically creates the order, issues keys, and unlocks downloads. No marketplace cut, no external licensing SaaS.

License keys with activation limits
Keys track per-site activations against the plan’s limit. Customers can deactivate sites themselves from the dashboard.
Signed, audited downloads
Versioned packages are verified against a stored SHA-256 digest, served through links that expire after 15 minutes, and written to a download audit table.
Customer dashboard
The [cf_license_dashboard] shortcode shows orders, masked keys with reveal and copy controls, downloads, expiry, and activated sites. Guests get a signed 30-day link — no password to leak.
EDD-compatible client API
check_license, activate_license, deactivate_license, and get_version REST endpoints speak the Easy Digital Downloads Software Licensing dialect, so shipped plugin clients migrate without code changes.
Renewals, refunds, maintenance
A renewal form extends existing keys from the later of today or the period end. Verified refunds disable licenses and cancel subscriptions. Daily maintenance expires what lapsed — or run wp core-forms license maintenance.

Enable the License Issuing Server
One toggle in Settings. Core Forms creates the customer dashboard page for you.

Add products and plans
Core Forms → Products & Licensing. Upload versioned ZIPs; each records a SHA-256 digest before it can be downloaded.

Attach fulfillment to a checkout form
Any payment-enabled Core Form plus the Fulfill License Purchase action. Fixed product, or map form values to multiple products for bundles.
