Feature

Polls and surveys

Native polls with scheduling, vote integrity, and live results — plus one-question-at-a-time surveys built on the same form engine.

For the longer version, read How to create a poll in WordPress.

Part of Core Forms, with every premium WordPress form feature in one plugin, one license and unlimited sites.

Polls are their own object type with their own editor: Question, Settings, Schedule, Embed, and Results tabs, a Gutenberg block (core-forms/poll), a [cf_poll] shortcode, and a REST API. Votes are deduplicated against a stored voter hash rather than a bare IP, so the count survives shared networks and cleared cookies better than a cookie-only check.

Surveys run on the form engine instead. Turn on fullscreen display mode for a Typeform-style, one-question-at-a-time flow, start from the NPS or customer-survey template, and let long questionnaires save and resume from a link. Answers land in the same submissions inbox and export to CSV.

What you get

How it works in Core Forms

Poll editor with scheduling

Start date and an hourly auto-close cron. When a poll closes, show the results, hide it, or redirect.

Vote integrity

Each vote stores a hash of poll, IP, user agent, cookie, and user. Honeypot on by default, plus a 12-per-minute rate limit.

Change-vote window

Give voters a set number of minutes to revise their answer — the form re-renders pre-checked.

Live results

Opt-in 15-second polling that pauses on a hidden tab, in bar, column, or percentage styles.

Surveys, one question at a time

Fullscreen mode with a progress indicator, light or dark theme, and save-and-resume for long questionnaires.

Results you can act on

Per-poll analytics with a per-day series, CSV export of every vote, and survey answers in the standard submissions inbox.

Bundled with every Core Forms license.

Polls and surveys is included with your license.
