Click-to-WhatsApp in Core Forms

Redirect to a wa.me deep link with the submission pre-filled into the chat draft.

Bundled with Core Forms — the WordPress forms plugin with every premium feature in the box. No add-on tax.

Bundled, no add-on tax Unlimited sites 20% off with code CFLAUNCH

A zero-vendor WhatsApp option for lead-handoff forms. On successful submission, Core Forms generates a wa.me deep link with the form data dropped into the chat draft and uses it as the post-submit redirect — the prospect lands directly inside WhatsApp with your sales line preselected.

No API keys, no platform setup, no per-message cost. Works on mobile (native WhatsApp app) and desktop (WhatsApp Web).

What you get

How Click-to-WhatsApp works in Core Forms

No vendor account needed

Just a phone number. No Meta Business, no Twilio, no API keys.

Pre-filled message draft

Form fields drop into the WhatsApp chat draft via [field_name] tokens — the prospect just hits Send.

Per-form sales-line override

Different forms can route to different reps by changing the destination number per action.

Mobile + desktop

Opens the WhatsApp app on mobile and WhatsApp Web on desktop — no extra configuration.

Works alongside other actions

Fires after the rest of the action loop, so the submission still hits your email/CRM/Slack before the redirect.

Set it up

Connect Click-to-WhatsApp in 3 minutes

  1. 1

Add the action to your form

Form → Actions → Redirect to WhatsApp (wa.me).

  2. 2

    Enter the destination number

In international format (E.164). Leave blank to open WhatsApp's contact picker without preselection.

  3. 3

    Compose the pre-filled message

Use [field_name] tokens to drop submitter data into the chat draft. Or leave blank to use a default summary of all fields.
